The first Mercedes-Benz electric truck is just around the corner, as the German brand has scheduled its world debut in late June, making it the world's first electric heavy truck in mass production.

With this launch, Mercedes-Benz accelerated and beat Tesla, which for years has been advancing with the Semi Truck proposal of which there are hardly any prototypes known.

What's more, the production of the Mercedes-Benz eActros electric truck will start this year after its debut was made official on June 30.

Mercedes-Benz has been tight-lipped about the specifications of this new electric truck, but what is known is that the project, which began in 2016, has been delivered to dozens of clients since 2018, allowing them to carry out various tasks autonomously and efficiently.

These tests helped the brand to configure the new Mercedes-Benz eActros electric truck according to the work needs of its customers and totalled more than 500 thousand kilometres for the adjustments of the new electric truck.

The new Mercedes-Benz eActros electric truck will have the capacity to carry 18 to 25 tons of cargo and, for customers who have already driven it, the great torque, power and smooth handling stand out.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros electric truck will be manufactured in Rhein, Germany and will lead in the 100% electric era for Mercedes Benz. During the various tests, the eActros electric trucks performed a variety of challenging tasks such as transporting refrigerated products with electric power, serving as a plant vehicle to supply components for production, garbage collection tasks with waste containers, and another with a mixer for the cement industry.@Mercedes-Benz.
