WhichEV has recognized Nissan's LEAF with a Lifetime Achievement award. Great validation for all the work done over the past 12 years to elevate the status of electric vehicles. The 2010 LEAF introduction was the first for a mass-market electric car. Since then, over 605,000 copies have been sold all over the world.
Nissan claims that the LEAF was the first of its kind when it was released to the public more than ten years ago. The decision to make an electric automobile was considered "brave" at the time. Nonetheless, now, the majority of carmakers have developed electric versions of their vehicles.
Nissan LEAF is still an excellent value for its target audience in its third generation. It's efficient, effective, and a great place to rest your head because it's hospitable and produces no pollution.
Few electric cars have done as much for electrification as the Nissan LEAF, in the eyes of the prize's judges, who said the electric vehicle demonstrated that electrified transportation need not be out of reach financially or in terms of practicality. Also, they believe the one now for sale is a good representation of the original design concept.
The original model included a 24 kWh battery, a 109 horsepower motor, and a range of 117 kilometers. From 0 to 100 km/h, it only took 9.9 seconds. Because of its design, it may be viewed as a spacious urban automobile.

A lithium-ion battery pack that can hold 40 kWh and an electric motor that can produce 110 kW (150 hp) will be standard on the 2023 Nissan LEAF S. The urban cycling range is 270 kilometers.
