Kia makes some of the best electric cars on the market

Kia's electric vehicles are among the best available. This was the conclusion reached by the ADAC in its recently published review of all current electric cars tested by the automobile club. The list, which includes 46 models and variants, is divided into six categories (small car, small car, lower middle class, medium class, upper middle class, upper class), and a Kia is twice the best in class: With the same amount of points as the Mercedes EQA 250, the second version of the crossover Kia Niro EV, released in July, takes top place in the "lower middle class" category. The angular design icon Kia e-Soul, which shares the first position with the Hyundai Kona Electric, is at the top of the "compact car" class.

ADAC testers praised all three Kia vehicles for their wide practical range. The Kia Niro EV has a range of 410 kilometers, the Kia e-Soul has a range of 390 kilometers, and the EV6 has a range of 470 or 350 kilometers depending on the battery size. Functional characteristics, such as using an electric vehicle as a powerful 220-volt power supply, were also scored well.

The Kia Niro EV and Kia EV6 electric car both feature this function as a mobile power bank, which is still uncommon on the market. The performance of the three Kia models demonstrates the brand's high level of e-competence, which has long been a driving force in electrification and launched its first electric car, the Soul EV, onto the global market in 2014. Kia has set the goal of becoming a leading worldwide provider of sustainable mobility solutions with its realignment at the beginning of 2021. The company is already one of the top brands of rechargeable automobiles.
