Buick has been on a roll lately, reinventing itself as a premium brand with stylish and sophisticated vehicles that appeal to a younger and more diverse audience. The latest example of this transformation is the Buick Envista, a stunning electric SUV that promises to deliver a thrilling driving experience, a spacious and luxurious cabin, and a range of advanced technologies.
The Buick Envista is based on the Ultium platform, which is GM's modular architecture for electric vehicles. This platform allows for different battery sizes and configurations, as well as various powertrain options. The Envista will offer two battery choices: a 77-kWh pack that provides an estimated 300 miles of range and a 100-kWh pack that boosts the range to 400 miles. The headlights and taillights are also LED-based and have a dynamic animation effect. The Envista rides on 22-inch wheels that have aerodynamic inserts to reduce drag and improve efficiency.
The interior of the Envista is equally impressive, with a spacious and comfortable cabin that can accommodate five passengers. The dashboard is dominated by a curved OLED screen that spans from the driver's side to the center console, displaying all the relevant information and controls. The screen can also be customized with different themes and modes, such as Sport, Touring, or Off-Road. The Envista also has a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a wireless charging pad.
The Buick Envista is packed with advanced safety and convenience features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, surround-view camera, park assist, and more. The Envista also supports over-the-air updates and has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The Buick Envista is expected to go on sale in 2024 as a 2025 model-year vehicle.
