Skoda is bringing the strongest Enyaq iV onto the market: the Skoda Enyaq Sportline iV 80x with all-wheel drive. The electric car was lowered by 1.5 centimetres on the front axle and one centimetre on the rear axle. The weight distribution of the Enyaq iV 80x, which weighs up to almost 2.4 tons, is 50:50.
The Skoda Enyaq Sportline iV 80x variant can be recognized by a large number of black high-gloss elements and sills painted in the body colour. The dynamic appearance is rounded off by wheels with a size of up to 21 inches. The so-called "Crystal Face" is also available as an option. This is a front grille with vertical lines and a cross brace. A total of 131 LEDs are integrated here, which light up quite well the Skoda Enyaq. The Enyaq iV 80x has a price of around 50,000 euros.
The two electric motors of the Skoda Enyaq iV ensure an output of 265 hp in the 80x. That sounds good - and it drives that way. If you set the driving mode switch (Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual) below the touchscreen to Sport, you can approach it dynamically. The Skoda Enyaq iV accelerates to 100 km / h in just 6.9 seconds. The maximum torque is 425 Nm. This ensures a very powerful start.
The 77 kWh battery should enable a range of over 500 kilometres. During the test drives, it was not possible to determine whether this is realistic. But depending on the driving profile, you can come within this range. Specialists were able to run the Enyaq iV 80x with 15.3 kWh during test drives on country roads and villages, in a third mix with sometimes energetic driving on the motorway, the on-board computer showed consumption of 19.2 kWh hours.
If you like and don't value efficiency, you can go up to 160 km / h with the Czech electric SUV - then the aforementioned 500 kilometres are a long way off. If the battery is empty, it can be charged with a quick charger with up to 125 kW. Ideally, the battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 % in around 34 minutes.
Despite its raised body, the Skoda Enyaq Sportline iV 80x can also take a sporty turn. Also, although the chassis is designed for sportiness, it also offers sufficient comfort on the sometimes poor roads.
If you are wondering whether a Sportline variant is necessary for an electric car, you just have to look at the forecasts: In Germany, a share of 20 % is expected. This demand needs to be met. "Even with electric cars, there are enough customers who value performance and a sporty appearance and who do not want to do without", say the Czechs. The situation is similar with all-wheel drive: it has a share of 50 % worldwide and is accordingly in high demand in countries such as Switzerland, Austria and Norway.
The Skoda Enyaq iV, which came onto the market in April, is already enjoying great popularity with customers without the all-wheel-drive and Sportline versions. In Germany, incoming orders are already approaching the 10,000 mark. Skoda is convinced that the new top version, 80x, which complements the models 60 and 80 with rear-wheel drive, will further increase demand. The Skoda Enyaq iV 80x will not stop there: a particularly sporty model as an RS variant will follow at the end of the year. It will then have an output of 306 hp. @ Skoda.
