Citroen surveyed 2,000 parents who had just transitioned to an electric car or hybrid vehicle and cared for infants and toddlers. The result: 56.4% of parents said their children slept better or the same in the new electric car compared to the old gas or diesel car. A minority (11.9%) of parents reported that an electric automobile made it more difficult to put their children to sleep, while 15.8% were unsure. 44% of parents said they had taken their child on a short trip to help them fall asleep, nearly half of all parents surveyed. Citroen conducted a study demonstrating how useful electric vehicles are for getting kids to sleep. It was found that 96% of parents report that it takes their child an average of 16 minutes to fall asleep in the electric car.
Smooth vehicle movements on the road (46%), a pleasant temperature in the car (41%), and a comfortable seat (40%) are the most important variables that help babies and young children fall asleep while driving, according to parents. According to one survey, 34% of parents believe that a quiet ride is the most important factor in getting their child to sleep.
