Mercedes-Benz eSprinter electric van

Mercedes-Benz is debuting a brand-new model of its eSprinter electric van. Batteries with a capacity of up to 113 kWh and a range of up to 400 km in mixed driving and up to 500 km in city driving are included in the latest version of the electric van, which does not include cobalt. Because the vehicle is assembled from separate modules, it is now possible to purchase electric drives for even the chassis that supports its superstructures.

Regarding technological advancements in electric transport vehicles, the brand-new eSprinter represents a significant leap forward. The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter van has a range of up to about 400 km thanks to its highest battery capacity of 113 kWh. The electric van's range increases to approximately 500 km when driving in the city.

The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, on the other hand, is about more than just its range. Because the entire vehicle is constructed based on a modular concept in three separate components, it can be built in an infinite number of different configurations, just like the Sprinter has a combustion engine.

Every high-voltage component, except the battery and the engine, is located in the front module and the cab. Using the same front with any of the batteries or wheelbases is possible.

The battery module is installed underneath the chassis between the axles, which results in a reduced height of the vehicle's center of gravity and improved grip on the road. The third and last component of the modular system is the back axle, which includes the motor built into it.

The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter has the motor mounted directly on the rear axle. The lightweight engine, which only weighs 130 kilograms, is available with a maximum power output of either 100 kW (130 hp) or 150 kW (195 hp) and a torque of up to 400 Nm (Nm). Because of its location, it is simple to construct the vehicle with various wheelbases. It may also be produced as a bare chassis for use by manufacturers of motorhomes, for instance. You can purchase an eSprinter with a maximum combined weight of up to 4.25 tons and a maximum trailer weight of up to 2,000 kg.

There are three distinct options available for the battery size: Whether they have 56, 81, or 113 kW, all of them are lithium iron phosphate (LFP), which means that neither cobalt nor nickel can be found in them. There is a maximum capacity of 11 kW for charging with AC current and 115 kW for charging with DC current.

The latest iteration of Mercedes-Benz's MBUX digital infotainment system, which can be controlled by voice, is standard on the brand's passenger vehicles and installed on the new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter electric van. This necessitates, among other things, navigation that takes into consideration the path that requires the least amount of energy to go and which method of charging the battery will get the vehicle to its destination the quickest. Automatic fee payment is an option for connected cars through the Mercedes me site. In this section, you may lock and unlock the vehicle with your cell phone and track its location. The launch will take place in Europe in the latter half of the year. @via Mercedes-Benz.
