Fiat aids IKEA Italia in the transition path toward sustainable mobility

Fiat E-Ducato electric van

The IKEA in San Giuliano Milanese hosted the symbolic handover of two Fiat E-Ducato, the commercial electric vehicle that will aid IKEA Italia in its shift towards sustainable mobility. The 180 units previously purchased represent roughly 30% of the overall supply. They will ensure that 100% of IKEA Italia floor deliveries in Milan and Rome will be zero-emissions as early as February. About 230,000 home deliveries each year will be made possible by introducing 80 electric trucks between Milan and Rome. By 2025, IKEA Italia plans to have a fleet of electric cars or other zero-emission solutions for its complete national network of last-mile deliveries.

The Fiat E-Ducato electric van, the first fully electric commercial vehicle by Fiat Professional, was selected to accomplish this proud goal because it can meet the full load and mobility requirements of Fiat Professional's loyal client base. These attributes have made the Fiat Ducato the best-selling European commercial vehicle for the past four decades. Fiat E-Ducato is the company's first "all-electric" model, built for first- and last-mile road transportation, guaranteeing emission-free distribution services in urban and "near urban" areas. Ranges vary from 235 to 370 kilometers in the urban cycle (WLTP CITY Cycle), in the usual cycle of a delivery "mission" in urban regions, and in normal environmental circumstances, depending on the battery capacity. Despite this, the Ducato's strengths stand out: it has the highest payload and most enormous load volume, up to 1,910 kg and 17m3, respectively.

We are honored to have a role in such an innovative endeavor. Stellantis's plan to strengthen its position as an industry leader during the energy transition is enacted through its Fleet & Business Solutions division, which strives to provide its customers with customized mobility solutions through a consultative and holistic approach that goes beyond the product. And Fiat Professional has always been there to meet the demands of professionals, tailoring solutions to them that are optimized for productivity and prepared for every business situation. These days, more is needed to provide the same old services; instead, we have to pay special attention to how they affect the environment. @via Fiat Professional.
