The new Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric car has been named the 'World Car of the Year 2023' and the 'World Electric Vehicle' at this year's World Car Awards. This is not the first time Hyundai has taken home multiple awards, as its predecessor, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, won the same three awards last year. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has already received a lot of attention due to its aerodynamic design and long-range, even though it has yet to be launched in Denmark. However, starting from April 14, the electric vehicle can be pre-ordered by Danes.
"We are looking forward to showing the Danes the three-time award winner Ioniq 6, which we are very proud of and which people have already shown enormous interest in. It clearly shows that when the Danes choose an electric car, they go for fast charging, long range, and beautiful design," says Annegrethe Skovby, press manager for Hyundai Denmark.
The Ioniq 6 electric car is built on the same E-GMP platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which enables lightning-fast charging - up to 351 kilometers in just 15 minutes. In addition, the electric car comes with an impressive range of up to 614 km due to its special design with a wind resistance coefficient of just 0.21, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars on the market.
