The Mobilize brand of Renault at the 2022 Paris Motor Show presents its micro-mobility solution with the Mobilize Solo concept prototype, representing a cross between a scooter and an electric microcar. It is open on one side but at the same time offers the coverage of a roof. The Mobilize Solo concept reaches a maximum speed of 25 km/h and can be driven without a seat belt, helmet, and license, but airbags are provided in the event of an accident. For driving, it also has a joystick as a steering wheel, a detail that refers to the world of video games.
Specifically, Mobilize Solo concept is equipped with 3 wheels: two drive wheels at the front and a smaller one with steering at the rear. The asymmetrical body allows you to board only from the left. Once on board, the reclining seat tilts forward, freeing up a deep space provided for storing the bag.
As for recharging, three solutions are proposed: via cable, induction (wireless), or with a battery change. Thanks to induction technology, several Mobilize Solo concepts stuck together can be recharged simultaneously using a single charging point. The first vehicle in the queue is connected to the bollard and transmits electricity by induction to the other Solo concepts behind it.
It is possible to disassemble the Mobilize Solo concept battery to recharge it at home, as with electric bicycles.
The Mobilize Solo concept is interesting, but Mobilize Duo is more fascinating and has a real chance to arrive on the market. @via Mobilize.
