The Ram 1500 Revolution battery electric pickup with all-wheel drive and 800-volt tech

The Ram Trucks brand revealed a futuristic concept truck at CES 2023 with its Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept, opening a door into the future and demonstrating how the sector's leading brand intends to reinterpret the pickup segment once more. The avant-garde Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept incorporates numerous innovative elements that will distinguish future Ram models, particularly as part of the electrification journey.

Ram will distinguish itself by providing a portfolio of full-electric solutions that best meet customers' needs, including the revolutionary Ram 1500 Revolution, which will begin production in 2024. Over the next few years, the entire Ram lineup will be electrified with revolutionary, cutting-edge technologies. The Ram 1500 Revolution Battery-electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept is the first chapter establishing how the brand intends to go beyond competitors' future EV offerings.

Ram significantly contributes to Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan by offering innovative, clean, safe, and affordable mobility solutions with the Ram 1500 Revolution Battery-electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept.

Ram intends to achieve leadership in innovative solutions and propulsion systems through a product portfolio that includes everything that can satisfy customer wants and needs and real-world demands. Ram now manufactures the most fuel-efficient 4x4s and the most responsive, fastest, and powerful pickup trucks.

Ram will redefine the pickup truck segment once more with the revolutionary Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck, which will go into production in 2024. The electric truck is expected to be the best in several areas of high customer interest, including range, towing capacity, payload, and recharge time. More details about the standard version will be available in the coming months.

The Ram 1500 Revolution Battery-electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept truck is a stunning vision of the ultimate pickup evolution and the future of Ram Trucks. The exterior design team set out to reinvent the pickup truck segment by developing an ultra-modern concept that exudes heroic strength, performs well, and is environmentally friendly.

The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck incorporates many cleverly integrated innovative elements to increase load capacity, including a new electric frunk with one-touch opening and closing. The charging socket flap on the driver's side front panel, the rear hatch, flush door handles, side steps, and rear step with active diffuser round out the list of electrified elements.

The concept includes revolutionary side mirrors that are smaller and lighter than traditional side mirrors and are made of 3D-printed materials to ensure better aerodynamics and less friction. Using a digital video camera that captures images of the vehicle's surroundings allows for size reduction.

While charging, the charging socket illuminates and flashes. The presence of an acoustic signal indicates that the plug has been inserted and that charging has begun. The charger has a level 1 and 2 AC charging socket on the top and a DC fast charging socket on the bottom.

The new architecture resulted in a significantly larger internal environment and increased cab length, while the battery size ensured greater load capacity. Ram's floor-mounted track and attachment system, "Ram Track," provides excellent seat and console positioning flexibility and the ability to use luggage straps and other storage elements.

The center console can be removed to provide additional space, and its armrests can be converted into a work surface if necessary. With the midgate and folding seats as options, the Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck offers a wide range of seating configurations. Seat belts, grab handles, and integrated speakers are standard on the lightweight seats, which fold and recline and can be configured for work or conference use. All of this is in addition to the ability to use the folding seats. Passengers in the second and third rows, in particular, benefit from the increased interior volume, with space worthy of a limousine at their disposal.

The rear mirror combines cutting-edge technologies designed to provide maximum safety and functionality. The rear mirror is significantly smaller than traditional truck mirrors without sacrificing functionality. It includes several sophisticated technological solutions, such as an intelligent rear camera for 360-degree vision and speakers and receivers compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Siri. When reversing, the camera combines images from the vehicle's other cameras to display a 360-degree view of the surroundings on digital screens. As a result, the driver will have a better view of his surroundings, increasing his safety and allowing him to avoid accidents and maneuver more easily when approaching a trailer. The mirror also has an additional rear light that improves visibility when reversing, which is especially useful in low-light situations. In addition to a rear camera, the rear mirror communicates with the biometric cameras, which monitor your surroundings as you approach external objects.

The Ram 1500 Revolution ensures seamless connectivity and a novel driving and passenger experience. Thanks to advanced technological solutions for creating a personalized space for each occupant, the concept transforms into a connected hub that allows you to bring your digital life directly into the vehicle.

The Ram 1500 Revolution has all-wheel drive and is powered by two Electric Drive Modules (EDMs) located in the front and rear of the vehicle to maximize interior space and provide plenty of trunk space. The Ram 1500 BEV concept, designed for large-capacity EDM, has the potential for future high-performance applications.

The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck can charge up to 350 kW and travel 100 miles (160 kilometers) in about 10 minutes using 800-volt DC fast charging.

The Ram 1500 Revolution Battery-electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept, based on the STLA Frame architecture, has a ladder-frame structure that efficiently integrates the battery pack.
