In early 2022, the Skoda Enyaq iV Coupé will be available

A few months before the start of sales, Skoda announced further details about the Enyaq iV Coupé. But, unfortunately, the SUV coupé of the well-known MEB electric car is only available in three of the five drive variants of the SUV brother.

Specifically, it is the Enyaq Coupé iV 60, 80, and 80x. The 60s has a 58 kWh battery and a 132 kW electric motor. The 80 is the standard version with the large 77 kWh battery and 150 kW rear-wheel drive; the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x is the 195 kW four-wheel-drive version with the 77 kWh battery. The 50 series engine and the RS model of the Enyaq will not be offered for the SUV coupe at the market launch.

With a drag coefficient of 0.247, the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is more aerodynamic than the well-known Enyaq - thus trump it in terms of range. The Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV 80 stipulates a range of more than 535 kilometers in the current release for the variant with the most extended range. That would also be the least because the configurator specifies the SUV version with this drive with 534 kilometers. How big the difference turns out will probably only be shown by the WLTP homologation on the test bench and, above all, everyday test drives.

The Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV with the 58 kWh battery can be charged with up to 120 kW with the latest software, the 77 kWh battery with up to 125 kW - an update has been announced for autumn, which is rumored to enable up to 170 kW at corresponding DC charging stations. But that has not yet been confirmed. In addition, an 11 kW onboard charger is standard for AC charging.

In terms of trunk volume, the coupé version is at first glance not that far removed from the SUV model: Instead of 585 liters, Skoda gives 570 liters here. The 585 liters of the Enyaq iV are only measured up to the lower edge of the window in the VDA standard - the real difference between SUV and SUV coupé only emerges above the flat rear window. The Coupé will therefore not achieve up to 1,710 liters of the Enyaq iV. There is only minimal difference between the two models regarding external dimensions; the Coupé is four millimeters longer and one millimeter higher. The notification does not contain any information about a trailer coupling for the Coupé.

According to Skoda, the Czechs want to expand the Enyaq family with a more dynamic model for lifestyle-oriented customers with an elegant design. "With our all-electric flagship Skoda Enyaq iV, we have made a tailor-made start on the international markets. Although Skoda customers received very well the electric vehicle, we have already received around 70,000 orders," says Skoda boss Thomas Schäfer. "With the Enyaq Coupé iV, we will be adding more at the beginning of 2022: This even more emotionally designed model variant of our E-SUV is a real design highlight and rounds off our model range at the top." However, Schäfer does not name sales targets for the SUV Coupé or prices. @via Skoda Media.

Update January 2022: The new Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV demonstrates sophisticated electric mobility.
