Stellantis is committed to electrifying its lesser-known brands, and Alfa Romeo is no exception. In 2024, the Italian automaker will release its first electric vehicle, a small electric SUV, and will introduce more EVs in the coming years. But the most exciting news is the confirmation of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Electric. This highly anticipated electric vehicle will showcase Alfa Romeo's commitment to blending performance and quality with electrification.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Electric is not going to be your typical sedan like the Giulia currently on sale. According to Automotive News Europe, CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato confirmed during a factory visit in Italy that the future electric vehicle would feature a unique blend of sedan and station wagon body styles (in other words, a small electric SUV). This innovative approach addresses the needs of sedan and station wagon customers with a single model. Imparato stated that having a sporty sedan is in the brand's DNA, but there were suggestions for a station wagon version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia. The optimal solution, Imparato added, could be a body style that combines the best of both worlds, similar to Genesis' G70 Shooting Brake.
