An early look at the MINI family's first all-electric crossover: MINI Concept Aceman

The MINI Concept Aceman electric crossover is the first glimpse at the distinctive design language that will characterize future MINI automobiles. In the next few years, the MINI electric core family will expand to include a 3-door model, a compact crossover, and a crossover in the small electric car segment. This year's first look at the new MINI was revealed, and the concept electric car, known as the MINI Concept Aceman, now hints at a new electric crossover model for the MINI family. There will be a cross-breed between the Mini Cooper and its larger sibling and a new MINI Countryman.

The MINI Concept Aceman electric car has four doors, enough room for five people, and a large trunk for luggage. 4.05 meters long, 1.99 meters wide, and 1.59 meters high are the dimensions of the concept car. Archetypal MINI details can be used in new ways thanks to the vehicle's upright front and transparent surfaces. The MINI Concept Aceman electric car has more aggressive styling, but it's still a fun and instantly recognizable MINI.

The electric car is lightweight and aerodynamic, built around a functional layout with minimal overhangs. But in keeping with the brand's core values, it's been updated with more refined comfort, versatility, and go-kart-like driving sensations than ever before.

With clean lines and minimal ornamentation, the interior features a minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes the bare essentials, just as the original MINI's designer envisioned in 1959. Once Alec Issigonis had finished designing the car's interior, he only needed a circular instrument cluster and a few rocker switches to create a truly unique driving experience.

As is customary, the interior design is based on the concept car's layout. This MINI clearly shows that MINI is still willing to take risks with its choice of colors and materials. None of the components are made of chrome or leather. Velvet velour covers the steering wheel, for example. While maintaining a nod to tradition, the digital solutions and OLED screen propel the MINI into the future.

MINI has been a symbol of British engineering and design excellence for more than a decade. Since then, the Oxford factory has produced over four million vehicles, which have been exported to over 100 countries.

MINI announced last year that it would limit its future product lineup to only electric vehicles. After 2025, there will be no new cars with internal combustion engines. For the first time in the company's history, at least half of MINI's global sales will be made up of electric vehicles by 2027. @via BMW group.
