Mercedes-Benz has expanded the Mercedes-Benz VLE order book in Germany with AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, broader EXCLUSIVE packages, electric rear seats, and an eight-seat layout. The Mercedes-Benz VLE 300 electric now starts at approximately $88,544, including Germany's 19 percent VAT and excluding delivery charges.
The conversion uses the ECB's July 28, 2026 reference rate and does not represent an announced U.S. MSRP. Mercedes opened orders for the new choices on July 23, 2026. The drive hardware stays put.
Mercedes-Benz VLE Price and Order Choices
The standard specification reduces the admission cost while retaining the 115-kWh battery and 203-kW front motor. Buyers can now add visual packages without paying for the EXCLUSIVE line first.

Mercedes also lets EXCLUSIVE buyers pair Premium or Premium Plus packages. Specifically, Premium Plus adds the head-up display and MBUX Superscreen. In addition, buyers may select the Sky View panoramic roof separately.
What the AMG Lines Change
- AMG Line adds body-color bumpers, AMG air intakes, an illuminated chrome grille frame, aluminum exterior trim, and Classic seat upholstery.
- The optional Night package replaces bright exterior details with gloss-black and dark-chrome pieces.
- AMG Line Plus adds black grille slats, dark-chrome handles, red seat stitching, red belts, and satin carbon-look cabin trim.

Looking at the data, the 800-volt electrical system cuts current for a given charging output, reducing resistive heat and supporting shorter high-power stops. Silicon-carbide inverters reduce switching losses, while Mercedes quotes 93 percent battery-to-wheel highway efficiency. A 0.25 drag coefficient also restrains energy demand at higher speeds.
Seating and Cabin Technology
Rear layouts now span five to eight seats. Electric Premium Comfort seats add armrests and heating, while manual Roll and Go seats slide, lock, and roll away on four built-in wheels. Owners can remove the manual seats to increase cargo capacity from 795 to 4,078 liters.
Three climate systems serve the cabin. Buyers can also specify a 31.3-inch 8K rear screen, an eight-megapixel camera, 22-speaker audio, and three front displays measuring 10.25, 14, and 14 inches.
Mercedes-Benz VLE vs. Key MPV Rivals
Manufacturers publish the VLE and ID. Buzz range under WLTP. The Lexus LM uses a non-plug-in hybrid system, so it has no electric-range or DC-charging figure.

Rear steering also gives the longer Mercedes a 0.9-meter tighter turning circle. The Lexus starts near $145,498 in Germany, about $56,954 above the VLE.

The standard Mercedes VLE van offers the strongest value because the AMG packages change appearance rather than output, battery capacity, or range.
- Put the optional 400-volt DC converter ahead of cosmetic extras if older charging stations dominate your routes.
- Select 22-kW AC charging only when your home or depot supplies that rate.
- Ask for the exact payload after choosing eight seats and electric rear chairs.
- Choose Premium Plus only if the head-up display and three-screen dashboard justify its added cost.
From an expert perspective, this expanded range fixes the VLE's original pricing problem. Consequently, customers can buy the long-range hardware without accepting a costly luxury package first.
